Why Live in Creemore?

The Village of Creemore is a well-established and quaint community that has a large draw that attracts both individuals and families who enjoy rural living with modern amenities. Although Creemore is surrounded by preserve lands, it is still only several kilometers south of Georgian Bay and about 100 kilometers to the north of Toronto. This perfect location gives residents the beauty of nature in a very self-sufficient village.

Creemore has an impressive downtown district that strongly promotes walking and window shopping. Produce markets are situated next to art boutiques and popular dining establishments such as Cez Michael. This is all along tree lined and florally decorated roads that invite pedestrian traffic in a safe atmosphere. Many historical homes and buildings are throughout the village and guided or self-guided walking tours are available to provide residents with a comprehensive history of their village.

Public schools such as Nottawasaga and Creemore Public School serve the educational needs of the neighbourhood, and offer bi-lingual learning for a range of grades. The low density population of this smaller village also makes it a very safe area for walking, cycling, and for play, with public parks at the north and south ends of the community.

Mad River Park is a popular destination for families and outdoor enthusiasts, and provides the perfect environment for relaxation and picnics. Along Mill Street, residents will also find the Horticultural Society Gardens, which are a good place to just take in the beautiful surroundings, or to join the society and take part in classes and lectures on the botanical arts.
